Volunteer
Get involved with The Arc of Central Virginia through the gift of your time as a volunteer. Whether you help with one of our impactful and fun events, bring your skills to help around The Arc building and grounds, or want to use your talents to come entertain during our Day Support Program; we greatly value volunteers and servant hearts that support our mission.
Immediate Need
Are you a seasoned IT Professional? Or, have a passion for all things tech? The Arc is in need of assistance with basic computer challenges as they arise. If you or someone you know is interested in serving, please contact Robin.

Day Program Volunteer
Share your time and talent with people with developmental disabilities at a day center, Monday through Friday, 9 am – 3 pm. Help someone learn about computers, learn a new activity or independent living skill, or just provide good company.
Performers
We need volunteer musicians, singers, story-tellers or other performers to come and share your talents during our day program.
Our participants LOVE meeting new people! They especially love singing and dancing.

Camp Meadowlark
Volunteering at Camp Meadowlark is truly an unforgettable and life-changing experience. Talk to any volunteer and nearly everyone will say that they get more out of Camp Meadowlark than they give. The opportunity to directly help children and adults with developmental disabilities to laugh, create happy memories, and connect with other families is magical.
Volunteers are asked to choose from a variety of positions including childcare, one-on-one assistance, a variety of sports and activities, and kitchen support. Positions are based on experience, prior service, and timeliness in the application process.
Opportunities to serve are Monday through Friday; 9:30 am – 1:30 pm during the month of July. Minimum age for volunteers is 13
