Monthly Community Events for People with IDD Ages 16+
All participants of “The Arc After Hours” MUST have a parent or provider with them through the duration of the event.
NO DROP OFFS. There will be no Arc DSPs available during “The Arc After Hours”.
October: Halloween Costume Party
- Date: Wednesday, October 30th
- Time: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
- Location: The Arc Great Room
- Details: Join us for a spooky evening of fun with a Halloween costume contest, SCREAM ROOM, and a spooky dance party. Prizes for the best costumes!
November: Movie Night & Popcorn
- Date: Thursday, November 14th
- Time: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
- Location: The Arc Sensory/Media Room
- Details: Cozy up with friends for a movie night featuring a feel-good classic. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. Bring your favorite blanket or pillow for extra comfort.
December: Holiday Karaoke & Cookie Decorating

- Details: Get into the holiday spirit with festive karaoke and cookie decorating. Sing your favorite holiday tunes and take home some deliciously decorated cookies.
January: New Year’s Bingo Night

- Details: Kick off the new year with a fun Bingo night! Win prizes, enjoy snacks, and ring in the new year with your friends at The Arc.
February: Formal Valentine’s Day Dance

- Details: Celebrate love and friendship at our Valentine’s Day dance. Enjoy music, dancing, and sweet treats. Come dressed to impress
March: Game Night Extravaganza

- Details: Unleash your competitive spirit with a variety of board games, card games, and group activities. Snacks and drinks will be available.
April: Spring Craft Workshop

- Details: Get creative with a spring-themed craft workshop lead by The Academy Art Bus. Make your own decorations and keepsakes to take home. All materials will be provided.
May: Outdoor Picnic & Garden Exploration
- Date: Thursday, May 15th
- Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
- Location: The Arc Accessible Garden
- Details: Enjoy the beauty of spring with an outdoor picnic and garden exploration with Master Gardners. Bring your favorite picnic blanket or chair, and we’ll provide the snacks and beverages.
June: Summer Kickoff Foam Party
- Date: Thursday, June 12th
- Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Location: The FIELD at The Arc
- Details: Kickoff summer with a Foam party! Enjoy music, games , and bring money for Kona Ice. Don’t forget to wear a swimsuit or lightweight t-shirt and shorts. Bring a towel.
July: Fourth of July Celebration

- Details: Celebrate Independence Day with a patriotic party featuring a BBQ, games, and a fireworks show. Wear your red, white, and blue to join the festivities!
August: Journey Of Hope Dinner and Dance

- Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Location: The Arc Great Room
- Details: Welcome the team during a Friendship Visit. Come enjoy a Lasagna dinner and then show off your dance moves out on the dance floor.
September: End of Summer Talent Show

- Details: Showcase your talents at our annual talent show, followed by an ice cream social with CraveABLEs. Sing, dance, perform, or cheer on your friends as they take the stage.
